Every method on this page belongs to one of the five elements. That is not a decoration — it is how the traditions themselves classified them. A therapy that works through plants belongs to earth; one that works through breath belongs to air; one that works through light belongs to fire.
Some of these have solid evidence behind them. Some have partial evidence. Some have none at all beyond the comfort of being cared for, which is not nothing but is also not what it is usually claimed to be. I have said which is which on every page, because a reader who is told the truth about one thing will believe the next.
Look for three things on each: what the tradition says, what has actually been tested, and what could go wrong. If a page tells you all three, you can make your own decision. If a website only tells you the first, be careful with it — including if that website is this one.
This site is a personal account and a record of traditional practice, shared for information. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a treatment for any disease. I am not a doctor.
If you are unwell — and especially if you have a serious illness such as cancer, diabetes or heart disease — please stay under the care of a qualified physician. Nothing here should replace or delay that care.
